“Whatever” is a very popular word these days.
“Are you ever going to clean your room?”
  “Whatever.”
“What are your plans for today?”
  “Whatever.”
“Can you do whateveryou feel like?”
  “Yes, whatever.”
“What do you think about a standard of morality?”
  “Whatever.”
And more and more these days, when we consider what one believes about God, “whatever” becomes the key word.
 “Does God exist?”
  “Whatever.”
 “Is there life after death?”
  “Whatever.”
“Does it matter what you believe?”
  “Whatever.”
If you agree with any of these “whatever” answers, especially those to these last three questions, here are some “whatevers” from the Bible for you to seriously consider.
Our God is in heaven; He does whatever pleases Him. Psalm 115:3
So what do you think He will do with you if your “whatevers” don’t please Him?
“It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life. Just make sure that you don’t use this freedom as an excuse to do Whatever you want to do and destroy your freedom. Rather, use your freedom to serve one another in love.” Galatians. 5:13
True freedom can only be found in service to Jesus Christ, because He said, “If the Son [referring to Him-self] shall make you free, you shall be free indeed,” John 8:36 and “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.” John 15:14
So “Whatever you do, do it heartily, as for the Lord and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance, for you serve the Lord Christ.” Colossians. 3:23,24
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whateveris pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” Philippians 4:8
In closing, remember that “The fool has said in his heart ‘there is no God’” Psalm 14:1 and “…God has made foolish the wisdom of this world.” 1 Corinthians 1:20
So whose “whatever” will you choose—the world’s or God’s?
