“PREDICTIONS”
are the meat and potatoes of weather reporters and sportscasters these days.
“PROGNOSTICATIONS”
are the main entrees on the menus of political analysts.
“PROPHECIES”
by poseurs claiming divine connections are on the program for an increasing audience.
SO THE QUESTION IS “WHY?” SINCE THEY ARE SO OFTEN WRONG.
We are becoming more and more concerned about what will happen next.
We want to know what the future holds.
What is coming worries us.
We are not as confident of our ability to control our destinies as we once were.
The realities of life are causing us great concern.
So why are we turning away from
THE ONE BOOK WHOSE PREDICTIONS, PROGNOSTICATIONS, AND PROPHCIES HAVE ALWAYS COME TRUE?
Why are we disregarding
THE ONLY BOOK WHICH HAS PROVED ITSELF IN THE PAST AND SO IS WORTHY OF OUR TRUST IN WHAT IT SAYS ABOUT THE FUTURE?
THE MANY DETAILED PROPHECIES ABOUT THE LIFE OF JESUS CHRIST IN THE OLD TESTAMENT OF THE BIBLE WERE WRITTEN AT LEAST 400 – 2000 YEARS BEFORE HIS ARRIVAL ON EARTH—[REMEMBER THAT THE UNITED STATES IS ONLY 200 + YEARS OLD BY COMPARISON!]—AND YET, THEY WERE FULFILLED, ALL OF THEM, IN GREAT DETAIL. NOT ONE OF THEM WAS WRONG!

Where is the proof, you ask?

SINCE WE ARE CELEBRATING JESUS’ BIRTH THIS MONTH, CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING PROPHECIES ABOUT THAT MOMENTOUS EVENT IN HUMAN HISTORY:

700 Years before Jesus Was Born:
Isaiah 7:14 – He would be born to a virgin. 		When Jesus Was Born:
Matthew 1:18-25; Galatians 4:4 – He was born to a virgin.
650 Years before Jesus Was Born:
Jeremiah 31:15 – Children would be slaughtered. 		Matthew 2:16-18 – Herod the Great slaughtered children in the Bethlehem area.
600 Years before Jesus Was Born:
Micah 5:2 – He would be born in Bethlehem. 		Luke 2:4,5,7 – He was born in Bethlehem even though His parents lived in Nazareth, about 75 miles to the north.

THESE ARE ONLY THREE OF ABOUT 300 PROPHECIES ABOUT JESUS WHICH WERE FULFILLED IN DETAIL DURING HIS LIFE, OFTEN BY PEOPLE WHO HAD NO INTEREST IN FULFILLING OLD TESTAMENT PROPHECIES.
THIS CHRISTMAS SEASON, WHY NOT BELIEVE THE BIBLE, GIVEN TO US BY THE GOD WHO
KNOWS THE END FROM THE BEGINNING,
WHO IS OMNIPOTENT,
AND WHO LOVES YOU,
AND WHO PROVIDED THE MEANS FOR YOU TO BE RECONNECTED TO HIM?
